Please note that all papers pertaining to the forthcoming AGM will be published in the Spring edition of the Fund’s magazine “WFM”. This is due to be sent out at the start of April.

Subscriptions

Serving LFB members: a monthly fee of just £6.00, inclusive of death benefit.*

Retired Welfare Fund  members: a monthly fee of £3.00 is deducted from your pension each month, inclusive of death benefit.*

 

Death Benefit Scheme

*This entitles a member’s named next of kin or beneficiary to receive £4,000 in the event of death (subject to the member being under the age of 70 on his/her death)

Monthly Lottery – each year over £225,000 is shared amongst our winners

Great discounts at London theatres.  We buy the best priced seats at group rates, subsidise them further and then sell them to members, with as much as 50% savings on box office prices for some shows!

A variety of breaks and holidays, ranging from the Tunnel to Towers run in New York, to Christmas Markets in Europe, skiing trips and many, many more

We organise and/or subsidise participation in a range of sports and social events. Some are arranged by the Central Office, others arranged locally by the Areas

Your own Retired Member Representative, on your local Welfare Fund Committee

 

Lottery – £225,000 is shared amongst winners every year!

We invite members of the Fund to take part in the lottery, which gives a first prize of £10,000, a second prize of £5,000 and twenty runners-up prizes every month

 

WFM Magazine

The Welfare Fund produces a regular magazine which highlights the Fund’s activities.  It also contains great offers and discounts available to members.  The magazine is sent to the home addresses of all Welfare Fund members, serving and retired

 

Honorary Life Membership

LFB Welfare Fund’s Honorary Life Membership recognises individuals who have given exemplary or meritorious contribution, service or assistance to the LFB Welfare Fund and/or its members.

How to make a Complaint, Comment or Compliment

Complaints Handling Procedure

Here at the Welfare Fund, our members feedback is of the upmost importance. This is to ensure that we continue to offer and provide all of our member with a range of benefits and quality services.

If you feel we have fallen short and are dissatisfied with the delivery of any of our services, and wish to make a formal complaint, you can do so by following the process outlined below.

Please note that this procedure relates to complaints about the service the Welfare Fund provides only, and not any department or function of the LFB. We are unable to comment or take up complaints on your behalf, pertaining to other organisations.

The Process

To make a complaint please complete our online complaints form CLICK HERE

When completed, please email it to our CEO:

Please ensure you complete the form in full, especially surrounding the nature of your complaint. The more information supplied, the quicker it will take us to assess.

We are here to listen and committed to undertaking a fair and through review of any complaint received. We will aim to acknowledge any complaint received within 5 working days. If further information is required, and it is going to take us longer, we will keep you informed.

Unsatisfactory Response

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate your complaint. To do so please respond to the email received, marking it ‘Complaint Response – Unsatisfactory”, outlining the reasons for your dissatisfaction.

Your complaint will then be reviewed by the Executive Council at their next quarterly meeting. We will inform you of the date of the meeting, when acknowledging receipt of your complaint.

You will receive a full and final decision within 10 working days of the Executive Council meeting.

 

Comments & Compliments Procedure

Comments on methods of improving our service and benefits or compliments regarding the quality of the service provided are always welcome. Please feel free to share your views with our staff or your local Welfare Fund Area Representative on the telephone, in person or by writing/e-mailing
