On Friday June 30th at 730pm, the GLA Running Club and the Midnight Runners will be hosting the inaugural Mayor’s Fund 10k Boot-Camp Run in support of the charity’s ‘Kitchen Social’ campaign. The event starts outside City Hall, and will head out over Tower Bridge, turning west towards Westminster Bridge, before looping back alongside the south side of the river back to City Hall. Every 2k we will stop for an “exercise break” where we do some bodyweight exercises to energise you for the remaining kilometres ahead!
The event is free to join but participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship to support the Mayor’s Fund Kitchen Social campaign. Kitchen Social aims to tackle the growing issue of young Londoners facing social isolation and hunger outside of term time. More information about the Mayor’s Fund Kitchen Social campaign can be found here:
And if this great cause isn’t enough to tempt you, runners raising more than £50 will be entered into a free prize draw. Exciting prizes include free gym membership, personal training sessions, and tickets to top London sporting events and venues. The event is limited to 400 runners so make sure you sign-up and secure your place now.
