Jerry Mulligan is an American GI striving to make it as a painter in a city suddenly bursting with hope and possibility. This “breathtakingly beautiful staging of the MGM musical” (The Independent), features many of George and Ira Gershwin’s most popular and timeless songs, including I Got Rhythm, ’S Wonderful and They Can’t Take That Away From Me, together with George Gershwin’s sublime compositions Concerto in F and An American in Paris.

Written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Craig Lucas, the “spectacular production” (Chicago Tribune) features set and costume designs by seven-time Tony® Award-winner Bob Crowley (The Audience; Mary Poppins); projections by the renowned British designers 59 Productions (War Horse; London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony); Tony® Award-winning orchestrations by Christopher Austin, Don Sebesky and Bill Elliott; sound by Jon Weston and lighting by Natasha Katz, who won her fifth Tony® Award for this production.
